Its moderate magnifying power produces a very steady image for observing distant objects, and its generous field of view lends itself to use at concerts, plays, and sporting events. Meanwhile, the 6×18 Mono’s close focus distance of just 12″ is useful for examining flowers, insects, brushstrokes on paintings, or fine printed matter.
This monocular’s compact form factor – only 3.4″ long and weighing just 2 ounces, with a leather pouch and a carrying strap – make it easy to have on hand. Its housing is made of durable aluminum, it’s splash resistant, and its operating temperature range is -4° to 104°.
