Nikon ED50-A Charcoal Grey Fieldscope (No Eyepiece)
Nikon ED50-A Charcoal Grey Fieldscope (No Eyepiece)
The Nikon ED50-A CHARCOAL GREY (no eyepiece) is an exceptionally compact and lightweight body with nitrogen gas-filled waterproof construction. ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass and an advanced multilayer lens coating enable superior light transmission for clear, high-resolution images. The ideal travel companion.
The ED50 scope is offered as a straight or angled viewing design. Most users will prefer angled scopes because they are both simple to use for birds perched high above the viewer as well as easily simultaneously shared amongst users of differing heights. But some will prefer the straight viewing models, for these are much easier to use when hunting down the object of interest in the first place.
Nikon’s Fieldscope line of spotting scopes is premium offerings to compete with the best of sports optics manufactured in Japan or Europe. You choose your options based on concerns for mass and budget: straight or angled, objective diameter, and whether to spring for the ED (extra-low dispersion) glass for a more favourable appreciation of highly detailed subjects.
Features:
Compact and lightweight design with a 50mm lens equipped with ED (extremely low light scatter) optical lenses to minimize colour defects and achieve excellent contrast and colour fidelity.
Lenses and prisms with multiple anti-reflective layers for a brilliant image.
Waterproof design (up to a depth of 1 m for 5 minutes).
55 mm diameter filter thread for mounting filters in front of the lens.
Nikon Digiscoping system support.
